Hassna Faiz

Hassna holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. She combines evidence-based interventions with a strong focus on creating a safe container to hold space for individuals during their most vulnerable moments as they explore themselves in their healing journey. She adopts a client-centred, eclectic approach that is trauma-informed and rooted in compassion and curiosity. Her work focuses on guiding individuals get in touch with their emotions, their bodies and their authentic selves, gaining insight to their nervous system and healing past wounds and hurts. Hassna believes in an integrative approach in working with the mind, body and soul, especially through her training in Compassionate Inquiry. She strives to create a space for individuals to connect deeply and strengthen their relationship with themselves, and become their own healers. Her areas of interest include, but not limited to, trauma, mood and anxiety issues, loss and grief, adjustment issues and personal growth.

Hassna has worked in a variety of settings in Sri Lanka and Hong Kong, some of which involved work with survivors of domestic violence and a wide range of people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and marginalized, vulnerable communities. Outside work Hassna spends time with friends and family, baking, reading, yoga, meditation and connecting with nature.
Hassna is a member of Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association (MHKPCA), Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and a Certified Grief Educator trained under expert in grief, David Kessler, USA 2022. She is currently under training in Compassionate Inquiry by Dr. Gabor Mate (Canada, 2023)- a trauma-informed psychotherapeutic approach to bring compassion, insight, healing and respect to individuals.
